To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.
I had wanted to read this book for a wile and finally snagged it for my Audible since I’m on a Romance kick and listening like crazy. This one wasn’t as easy to get into, it was a little more juvenile than I was used to, and I felt like the main character Laura Jean was portrayed way more young than a 16 year old should be. She felt more like a 13 year old in my opinion, but maybe she was just a really naive 16 year old? I guess they do exist still.
Otherwise it was kind of cute. A fun little plot line, very simple, and cute little characters you kind of adore in a far-off kind of way. Not a huge love of a book, but fun enough. I may or may not continue the series-I have not yet decided.
