But as Cameron soon finds out some things are too good to be true. When the Mind Readers realize the extent of Cameron’s abilities, they want to use her powers for their own needs. Cameron suddenly finds herself involved in a war in which her idea of what is right and wrong is greatly tested. In the end she’ll be forced to make a choice that will not only threaten her relationship with Lewis, but her very life.
I happened to randomly stumble across The Mind Readers on Amazon Kindle for free and figured what the heck I might as well give it a go and I am SO glad I did! I read this book in about a day and a half — I could not put it down. I suppose it helps that compared to many other books I have read, this one is relatively short. Throughout The Mind Readers there were so many well timed cliff-hangers that made it impossible to put the book down. I thoroughly enjoyed the main and supporting characters because of all of the unique personalities. Not to mention, it is almost impossible to figure out which side who is on and whether it is the good side or bad side. Personally, I love books that keep you guessing! Cameron, the protagonist, is wonderful. I love her flaws and how real she seems as a character. The Mind Readers is fast-paced and does a wonderful job at keeping your attention. The story line is interesting and I have not read a book similar to this one yet. Spoiler: I went on to purchase the next couple of books in this series!
